Where can I purchase your product?

How tall can ClearGuard panels be used?


It depends on the design pressure that you assign to your application. This may require a site visit by a professional- Authorized Dealer/Installer.

Can I install this myself? Do you have instructions?


You can certainly attempt to, but it is not recommended. This usually requires some experience and may require the expertise of a professional installer and the involvement your local building department. Code compliance is necessary for true hurricane protection and insurance discounts as well. We do not offer training, but our Engineer Drawing Instructions, that installers use, is available.

Is your product Lexan?


Lexan is a brand name for polycarbonate that has a generic reference much like Kleenex or Xerox does. This is manufactured by SABIC Plastics, formerly known as GE Plastics. We use this polycarbonate along with some other "equivalents" from world-wide suppliers like Dow Chemical and Bayer Material Science, etc. The polycarbonate has a special UV resistance that is part of the resin - as outlined in our Approvals and Drawings.

Can I leave your panels up for extended periods?


Yes, our product has UV resistance and has passed some stringent testing for "Weathering" as mandated by Miami-Dade County. We provide a 10 year warranty for breakage and yellowing on our ClearGuard product.

Do your panels turn yellow?


There can be some discoloration after years of use, but it should not be significant. Just as automobile paint can fade and clear headlight covers can lose their luster. We provide a 10 year warranty for yellowing and breakage on our ClearGuard product. Our documented "Weather" testing shows that the panel (tensile) strength is practically unaffected. After 4500 hours of continuous UV exposure. A real world setting is only 0-8 hours of continuous exposure per day, not 4500 continuous.

Can I get a copy of your Warranty?


The Company that provides the product or installs for you is responsible for giving that to you, but we have included it on our ClearGuard page to make it more convient for you to access. It must be filled out and returned with a copy of your receipt, to us for proper registration.

Can I get a copy of your NOA?


Yes, it is still valid, but we now recommend our 2 newer approvals from the Florida Building Code. One for South Florida Dade & Broward County) called the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) - FL6416, and one for the rest of the State - FL6417. These will qualify for any applicable insurance discounts.

How long does it take to get panels if I put in the order now?


Approximately 5-7 business days, subject to change. Unless you need something sooner, we can try to accommodate you!

I have your panels, can you sign-off on my insurance form so I can get a discount?


We cannot sign-off since we did not perform the installation. Code compliance must be verified by the installation provider or by a third party inspector.
